MetaTag Pro — Privacy Policy

Overview

MetaTag Pro ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension developed by khkstudios. It analyzes the current webpage's SEO meta tags, headings, Open Graph data, Twitter Cards, and JSON-LD structured data, then displays an actionable score in the popup.

Data Collection

MetaTag Pro does not collect, store, or transmit any user data.

All page analysis is performed entirely within your browser. The Extension reads the DOM of the active tab to extract meta tags, headings, and structured data. This information is processed locally and displayed in the extension popup. It is never sent to any external server, database, or third-party service.

Permissions

The Extension requests the following browser permissions:

• activeTab — Required to access the current tab's page content when you click the extension icon, so it can read and analyze the page's meta tags, headings, and structured data.
• scripting — Required to inject the content script that reads the page's DOM elements (meta tags, heading hierarchy, Open Graph tags, JSON-LD blocks) for SEO analysis.
• Host permission (all URLs) — The Extension needs to run on any website you visit so it can analyze SEO meta tags on any page you choose. No data is collected, stored, or transmitted.

Data Usage

• No personally identifiable information is collected
• No browsing history or web activity is tracked
• No analytics, telemetry, or usage tracking of any kind
• No data is persisted to browser storage, local storage, or any external server
• No data is sold or shared with third parties
• No data is used to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes

Third-Party Services

MetaTag Pro does not integrate with or send data to any third-party services, APIs, or analytics platforms.

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy is updated, the changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
